Ensuring the Future of the Worthen Library

The Worthen Society was established by the South Hero Library Foundation to recognize people like Ed Worthen and you who have made a financial commitment to ensure that future generations of Champlain Islanders will have a robust library. Local taxpayer dollars cover only a portion of operating expenses. Your contribution is needed to build a Sustainability Fund to support your new library to provide the flexibility needed to offer additional services and perpetuate a truly great public library. The Worthen Society recognizes two special groups of donors:
- The Diana Cleborne Circle recognizes members who have provided current gifts to the Foundation. Donations can be in the form of cash, real property, or irrevocable gifts of life insurance. Click here for more information on ways to give. Your support will be recognized by level based on your total giving to the Library.
- The Muriel Jacoby Circle recognizes members who make a bequest to the Library Foundation in their estate plan.
Worthen Society members also include those of you who make current contributions to our Sustainability Fund or let us know of your future intentions through your estate. How ever you choose to make a contribution — THANK YOU!
