Monday January 2nd: Happy New Year! The Library is closed today. 

Wednesday January 4th 9:30am – 11:30: Island Quilting Group – We’ll be quilting in the library every 1st and 3rd Wednesday.

Wednesday January 11th 6pm: Needfelting Penguins – Make your own adorable needle felted penguins. No experience necessary Ages:8+

Wednesday January 11th 6pm: South Hero Historical Society Presents: Lessons from the Vermonter: Passenger Rail in Vermont” tells the story of the Post WWII history of the decline, fall and restoration of passenger train services in Vermont and northern New England. The fate of the Rutland Railroad and the Island Line are featured.

Thursday January 12th 3:30pm: After-School STEM – Engineering Helicopters for Mars

Saturday January 14th 10am: Puzzle Swap – Swap your puzzles for new to you puzzles, just in time for puzzle season. 

Saturday January 15th: STEAM Saturday – Make your own Kaleidoscope

Monday January 16th: The Library will be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Tuesday January 17th 6:30 pm: Conservation Commission – All are welcome to join the conservation commission

Wednesday January 18th 6pm: Book Club – This month we’ll be discussing “The Memoirs of Stockholm Sven” by Vermont author Nathaniel Ian Miller

Thursday January 19th 3:30pm: After-School STEM – Paper Roller Coaster: Kinetic and Potential Energy

Saturday January 21st 10am: Houseplant swap – Grab some clipping or bring in the whole plant to swap with your neighbors. 

Wednesday January 25th 12pm: Movie Matinee – We’re watching the AFI Top 100 Movies of all Time. This week the film is number 100 – “The Sixth Sense”

Wednesday January 25th 12pm: Cooking the Books! – Everyone selects a recipe from “The Snowy Cabin Cook Book” and brings in the dish to share. 

Thursday January 26th 3:30pm: After-School STEM – Dance Dance Revolution. We’ll be making our own Dance Dance Revolution games with Makey Makey!

Saturday January 28th 10am: Library Card Day! A free keep forever books for kids who sign up for their own library card!
