This Introduction to Quilting is a series of 4 three-hour lessons. These lessons will take the student through the whole process of quilting from start to finish by providing tips and techniques that will make piecing your project fun and easy. This class is intended for those will little or no experience and for those who have dabbled in quilting and want to learn more. In the end you will have a finished top for either a baby or lap size quilt. Costs includes pattern.
You will learn:
- Quilt terminology
- Needle and Thread choices
- How to select fabrics
- How to measure and cut your fabric
- Set and sew that perfect ¼” seam
- Nesting of seams
- Pressing vs. ironing
- How to make the “Quilt Sandwich”
- How to quilt your quilt
- How to bind and label your quilt.
